This line hits close to home to me. The shirt and tank top both say: God has no backspace button. So, why should I?
There was a stage in my life that caused me a lot of pain and hardship. I wanted to hit backspace. Healing was an uphill battle. "If I could just undo that decision, I would be in a better place."
If that feeling sounds familiar, I have heart-to-heart evangelism to share.
We are all made in His image, and knowing that, it clicked. Why, being in His image, do I circle back to the hurt?
God doesn't hit backspace. We are made in His image to weather those storms, knowing His grace is one prayer away, one "please, pray for me" away.
Let me quote from Ruth Chou Simons' book Now and Not Yet:
"God made us to need him, to turn to him for the rest we seek. It's an active response to the restlessness we may feel. We are made by God, for God, and to be satisfied in God." (p. 22)
"My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the LORD; my heart and flesh cry out for the living God." -Psalm 84:2 NIV
Despite all the pain, God doesn't want your distance. He wants your surrender.
Don't be afraid to bring your troubles to Him.
Let this post and my "God Has No Backspace" product line be your anthem.
P.S. Sparrows by Jason Gray is a song for your current season.
